 Nine Never, Eight Ever Revisited

South's vulnerable 4 seemed ripe for a West with possibly 3 diamond tricks opposite an East that opened and reraised. Double!
A spade was won by West and declarer ruffed the 2nd round of the suit.
A small diamond was won by West's K.
West led the 6. Declarer won in hand and the Q was cashed, East showing out.

Declarer counted 18 outstanding HCP for the defence and 10 spades.
What had each defender for their enthusiasm?
West was known to have 4 diamonds and at least 3 spades.
Would  T864  6532  KJ42 5 have been enough?
Certainly East had at least 6 spades for the additional spade bid.

If South had known that West had one club, South could have simply cashed one top club before starting diamonds before finessing East, more often catching a singleton Q than finding West with a club void.
