Strong hands are bid slowly.
Weak hands are bid quickly.

After the Game Forcing Single Minor Raise, most contracts will be 3N.
Responder has denied a four card major.
Opener's first concern should be whether there are major suit stoppers.

In keeping with general principles of 'slow arrival', minimum hands should jump to game.

What about the usual simple single raise (6-9 points)?
You don't really have one. The idea is to pre-empt or start a slam try at a lower level.
If you had what was once a simple raise, you now have to choose between pre-empting OR bidding a possibly atrocious 1N.
Perhaps that's one of the most important things to discuss with your partner. Some of the best just refuse to play Criss Cross.
